Brief Description:

Recent events provide an important opportunity to return to the fundamentals of safe and responsible flight operations.

This seminar will review what pilots need to know to operate safely and legally, with particular emphasis on procedures, operational considerations, and safety concerns at Whiteman Airport and within the surrounding airspace.

Whiteman Airport Air Traffic Manager Will Hoyt and local pilot and flight instructor Michael Williamson will share practical information, local knowledge, and recommendations intended to help pilots improve situational awareness, reduce risk, and operate safely in the Whiteman Airport environment.

Pilots, student pilots, flight instructors, aircraft owners, and interested members of the aviation community are encouraged to attend.

The terminal building is easily accessible from Airpark Way. Parking is available outside the building. Enter the terminal and take the stairs or elevator to the second-floor conference room.

Fly-In Information:
Fly-in attendance is welcome. Aircraft may be parked in the transient parking area. From transient parking, proceed to the terminal building and take the stairs or elevator to the second-floor conference room.

Pilots should review current airport information, NOTAMs, and applicable procedures before arrival.

This event will last approximately 1.5 hours.
