Title:
EAA IMC Club Meeting - Weather Tactics
Topic:
Flying Around Summer Storms and Making Wise Decisions
Speaker(s):
James Carlson
Brief Description:
The EAA IMC Club provides a "hangar flying" experience organized around instrument flight in order to promote safety, education, and proficiency.
Taking long trips in the summer often means finding your way around storm systems. How do you plan around them? What tactics do you use? How do you find alternate routes? We'll discuss two scenarios involving storm encounters and talk through situations you have encountered.
Bring your EFB, your experience, and your questions, and be ready to participate.
All are welcome. You do not need to be an EAA member or rated instrument pilot to attend.
