Title:
Understanding Aircraft Owner/Mechanic Roles and Responsibilities
Topic:
Airworthiness Requirements and Required Logbook Documentation
Speaker(s):
Jay Seward FAASTeam Rep (CFII), Todd Clamp Principal Aviation Safety Inspector (CAE FSDO)
Brief Description:
This seminar replaces the regularly scheduled last Monday of the month seminar at the Flightdeck (May 25th). Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the seminar will be on June third at the Flightdeck at 6:30 pm.
If you're an aircraft owner, operator or renter, don't miss this engaging seminar. This discussion will address, in some detail, the owner/operator responsibilities and those of the mechanic. We'll focus on what you can do to keep your airplane airworthy, legal and safe. Our guest presenter will be Todd Clamp, Principal Operations Safety Inspector from the CAE FSDO. Todd brings a wealth of knowledge from many perspectives. Owner, maintainer, and examiner are all lines in his resume built over many years of flying in and around the midlands of South Carolina. He has some points he wants to emphasize and we'll hear a few stories of things that went well, and not so well, when owner/operators and mechanics aren't using the correct procedures. Attend, learn, and become better at flying safely!
