Title:
Poplar Grove Safety Club
Topic:
Orphan of the Magenta Line and GPS Jamming Over Nebraska
Brief Description:
ORPHAN OF THE MAGENTA LINE : Skirting the DC SFRA and Philadelphia Bravo with your iPad seemed simple, until that iPad displayed a low battery warning. You’ve flown this route before, so maybe you can make a plan to navigate with the limited juice you have left along with ATC assistance. Or is it smarter to land and recharge?
AND
GPS JAMMING : One of the funny things a pilot learns over years of GPS use is that there’s more than one way to accomplish the same task. There are also ways to complete a flight if the GPS is completely out of the picture. But what if the GPS is partially inoperative? Is there a clever solution?
Members watch 2 short videos scenarios and discuss how they would respond to the given situations. This is an open forum for free ideas and we all learn from shared experience! All are welcome to join in. With dynamic discussions of both topics' this seminar should be 2 hours long and enhance everyone's education.
