This session builds on first-responder training with a Cessna 185 on Edo amphibious floats.

Moderated by: Herb Lingl, Education Director of the Clear Lake Flying Club, Inc.

Bob Tweedie, Economic Development Director of Tavares, Florida — "America's Seaplane City" — presents the City's Seaplane Incident Response Plan, developed through years of experience with one of the nation's most active seaplane communities.

Tod Dickey draws on capsize recovery training at the FAA's immersion facility in Oklahoma City, examining how those lessons apply to seaplane accident response. Tod's Grumman Widgeon is available for first-responder familiarization.

If you are planning on landing at Lampson Field (1O2), please use transient parking adjacent to Red’s Skyroom Restaurant and the pilot lounge.  Shuttles are available to/from Lakeport.

Also, as PIC, please conform to FAR 91.103 (know all there is to know) and obtain a comprehensive pre-flight briefing, including NOTAMs and TFRs.
