Thursday, May 14, 2026, starting at 20:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Jeff Puglielli
Brief Description:

We will cover Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications in the Chicago area, focusing on Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) communications, as well as Visual Flight Rules (VFR) communications practices around Schaumburg Regional Airport (06C).

This session is intended for individuals currently studying or about to study for an instrument rating. It is also a valuable preparation for an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) or your next IFR flight, particularly for pilots who only occasionally fly under IFR conditions.

Additionally, we will discuss VFR procedures for departures from airport 06C, with particular emphasis on scenarios when DuPage Airport (DPA) is landing aircraft to the south.
