Title:
The New MOSAIC Rule
Topic:
The New MOSAIC Rule and What It Means for Recreational Aviators
Date and Time:
Thursday, May 7, 2026, starting at 18:30 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
James Treiber FPM and Michael Reyes FPM
Brief Description:

At Airventure 2025, FAA announced the new MOSAIC rule. This rule overhauls the Sport Pilot rules to make them much more useful for recreational aviators. Sport Pilots will now be eligible to fly aircraft as large as the Cessna 182. Updated certification standards for light sport aircraft will make it easier to bring new technology to aircraft design, and positions light sport aircraft as a bridge between certified and experimental aircraft. This presentation will explore the new MOSAIC rule and what it means for recreational aviators.
