Title:
Spring and Summer Weather is On the Way - Is Your Airplane Ready
Topic:
What Maintenance Can You Legally Perform on Your Own and What Work Needs A Professional Mechanic
Date and Time:
Saturday, April 4, 2026, starting at 09:30 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dave Cardullo, RIPA Directors
Brief Description:

Nice weather is on its way as Spring and Summer peek out under the tundra.  As we thaw out our hangars and the ramp, are our aircraft ready for flight? Can we just tune it up, put air in the tires and fly?

Join us with Aviation Safety Inspector David Cardullo along with the Rhode Island Pilots Association as we discuss how you can make sure your airplane is ready. What maintenance work are pilots legally able to do on their own and what needs a maintenance professional? Even if we CAN do the work, SHOULD we?

The presentation will be an hour long and a Q&A will be offered at the end for the pilots that own their own aircraft.
