Title:
IMC CLUB OWD Traffic Avoidance and Wildlife on Runway Scenarios
Topic:
Review of Unique General Aviation and Airline Traffic Encounters That Impact the Safety of Flight
Brief Description:
We will review two scenarios as well as those that you may bring to the group. These scenarios will discuss a Spring season topic of wildlife encounters as the world starts blooming around us. Deer, eagles, coyotes and geese will soon join us in the skies and on our runways. Hear professionals in the field discuss previous situations and how these were NOTAM'd by ATC/Airport Operations or handled by in-flight crew decisions.
Bring your EFB, your experience, and your questions, and be ready to participate. All are welcome.
The EAA IMC Club provides a "hangar flying" experience organized around instrument flight, in order to promote safety, education, and proficiency.
Every meeting consists of a short IMC scenario presentation followed by a group discussion, discussions of unusual or interesting charts, changed rules and procedures, and sharing of personal experiences. At times there are Guest Speakers.
All pilots (and students) are welcome. You do not need to be an EAA member or instrument pilot to attend.
