Program Topic: SOPs, Flying Like a Pro
Date and Time:

Speaker(s):
Jason Miller CFI-I
Brief Description:

Jason Miller is a CFII with more than 25 years of aviation experience and over 10,000 hours of instruction given. He is the founder of The Finer Points Ground School and a member of the FAA Safety Team. A former instructor for AOPA’s Air Safety Institute, he was named the FAA Western Pacific CFI of the Year in 2009. “I am passionate about developing systems that help pilots become safer and more efficient,” says Miller.

Program Topic: SOPs, Flying Like a Pro
Professional pilots, maintenance teams, and flight departments rely on Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs, to keep aviation safe, consistent, and predictable. This presentation breaks down what SOPs are, why they matter, and how they reduce risk through disciplined habits, clear callouts, and repeatable flows from preflight to shutdown. Attendees will leave with practical ways to bring a professional SOP mindset into general aviation without turning it into airline bureaucracy.
