Title:
BFC Instrument Seminar
Topic:
Understanding IFR Clearances
Date and Time:
Thursday, February 26, 2026, starting at 18:00 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Adam Kellum, Brendan Conner
Brief Description:

IFR clearances are short, fast, and easy to misunderstand if you do not know what to listen for. This seminar breaks down CRAFT and PTAC clearances piece by piece, explaining what each element means, why it is issued, and where pilots commonly get tripped up. We will cover real clearance examples, common errors, and techniques to copy, read back, and fly the clearance correctly the first time. The focus is practical understanding so you can spend less time confused on the ground and more time ahead of the airplane.
