Title:
BFC Safety Seminar
Speaker(s):
Adam Kellum, Brendan Conner, Ben Curlee
Brief Description:
VFR into IMC accidents are rarely the result of one bad decision. They develop through subtle weather changes, plan continuation bias, and delayed turn-around decisions. This seminar examines how VFR pilots unintentionally enter instrument conditions, the warning signs that are often ignored, and the human factors that keep pilots pressing on. Using real-world scenarios, we will discuss practical strategies for weather evaluation, personal minimums, and escape options that can prevent a survivable situation from becoming a fatal one. 1800 to 2000 hr LCL
