Title:
January 2026 Topic of the Month - Safety Risk Management for GA Pilots
Topic:
Safety Policy, Safety Promotion, Safety Assurance, and Safety Risk Management in Action
Speaker(s):
Gary Burleson - FAAST Team Representative
Brief Description:
We'll look at FAA studies that deal with deficiencies identified in a selection of general aviation accident investigations. We’ll also take a high-level view of a process that has increased safety and effectiveness of aviation organizations world-wide. And we’ll describe how that process can help individual pilots improve Aeronautical Decision Making, Crew Resource Management, and Safety Culture.
We'll also watch a video and have a discussion on a pilot who was not prepared for his flight.
