Brief Description:

This is a closed event for Washington Pilot Association members only. 

This presentation will discuss safety and organizational culture, with an emphasis on risk management. It will include a brief summary of the avionics certification process, followed by introduction to a typical general aviation flight test fleet and the preparation of an aircraft for flight test. Basic day-to-day duties of a test pilot will be discussed, along with basic flight test processes and techniques. Specific examples of real-world flight tests including the good, the bad, and the ugly will be reviewed.
