Title:
VFR Workshop-Inadvertent IMC
Topic:
Inadvertent Flight Into IMC
Date and Time:
Saturday, April 11, 2026, starting at 09:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
FAASTeam Representatives and Jurg Grossenbacher
Brief Description:

 Otherwise known as Visual Flight Rules into the clouds, and the results are often fatal. In fact, VFR into IMC is the worst weather-related cause of accidents each year with a fatality rate of 86 percent in non-commercial fixed-wing aircraft. And it’s not only VFR pilots who get trapped; about one-third of these accidents involve instrument-rated pilots!

The workshop will have classroom and simulator components. Fly our Redbird Simulators and gain skills (or test yours) against insidious weather and more straightforward IMC. Sharpen your scan, test your Basic Attitude Instrument skills and learn how to handle this scenario with proficiency!

Doors open at 8:30am and we finish up at 2:30pm
