Title:
EAA Chapter 1674 Monthly Meeting
Topic:
FARs & Bowling Balls: An investigation into Bad Choices and Potential Violation of Regulations.
Date and Time:
Saturday, October 18, 2025, starting at 09:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ray Heyde
Brief Description:

Have you ever wanted to shut down an unsafe operation? Ever thought about throwing bowling balls out of an aircraft? Do you think that you know the Code of Federal Regulations as they apply to flying?  If you answered "yes" to any one of these questions, you must attend this presentation. Bring a copy of the FAR's or your smart phone to access the internet so that you can access the current FAR's electronically. You will need it. We will divide into small groups to review a scenario in which our pilot Fred makes a lot of bad choices along with some outright FAR violations.  Your job is to decide which three violations to charge him with. The Chapter will email the handout to members before the meeting for review so that you can get a head start.  If you are not on that membership list and would like a copy of the handout before the presentation, please use the contact information below to secure a copy. This presentation is longer than usual and will use the "normal" social time to get started. So come early. (2-hour event)
