Brief Description:

The FAA allows pilots to obtain loggable training time and maintain currency in some aspects of flight training provided the simulation equipment meets certain FAA established standards.  Come learn the differences (and similarities) between Full Flight Simulators, Aviation Training Devices, and home Personal Computer based flight simulation.  We will discuss the criteria which must be met in order for the FAA to certify a flight simulation device and learn what kinds of flight training may be performed and logged in pilot logbooks, provided certain requirements are met.  We will also discuss the benefits of PC based training at home to maintain proficiency and detail the PC peripheral hardware and Flight Simulator software currently available on the market.
