Title:
KSTP/KSGS Oh No Traffic Conflict Again - Hybrid Event
Topic:
Best Practices for Safe Operations Around KSTP and KSGS
Date and Time:
Thursday, September 25, 2025, starting at 19:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Keith Thompson, KSTP Controller, and more
Brief Description:

The Downtown St Paul (Hollman) and South St Paul (Fleming) airports have uncommonly high instances of near-traffic conflicts, airspace violations or near-airspace violations.  Come join us on Sept 25 in-person or virtually to understand risks and best practices when flying in and around the area.  KSTP controllers and a member of the FAA FAASTeam will be sharing some scary near-collision examples and some airspace oops’ from the area that have earned some pilots a phone number.  All of these can be avoided with some suggestions on traffic routes, talking to STP tower and / or helping spread the word.  This is a must-attend if you ever fly to either of these airports or the east side of the MSP bravo area.
