Join us with FAASTeam Program Managers James Treiber and Michael Reyes of the San Diego FSDO along with DPEs; David Leonard, Greg Madariaga, and Jay Brentzel.
The FAASTeam CFI/DPE Forum is a collaborative platform designed to foster communication and standardization between flight instructors (CFIs) and Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs). This Forum aims to cover the following topics: Airworthiness, Check Ride Preparation (what you should expect and have with you when you arrive), and Flight planning, were DPEs see the most errors.
The forum serves as a space for CFIs and DPEs to discuss best practices, address challenges, and standardize evaluation processes.
The primary goal is to improve aviation safety by identifying areas where pilot skills or knowledge may be lacking and addressing them through targeted training and evaluation.
This forum is open to Flight Instructors, Ground Instructors, Designated Pilot Examiners, and instructors in training.

Be sure to preregister in advance for this seminar.
When checking in with Solar Security Guards, you must provide a government issued I.D. (e.g. Drivers License) and initial a login sheet. All of these steps are required to be a Guest at the Solar facility.
Be sure to arrive on time. The entrance to the facility is staffed by a Security Guard that leaves promptly at 6:45pm. There is no means to let anyone in that arrives after 6:45pm.
