Brief Description:

For the August meeting, we will discussing Instrument Currency vs Proficiency. To highlight the importance of maintaining instrument proficiency we'll review ATC tapes and ADS/B track data of a couple very recent fatal spatial disorientation accidents in SOCAL as examples of Loss of Control Inflight accidents. LOC-I accidents are the #1 cause of GA Fatal accidents. We'll also look at some of human factors which can impair our judgment, and the dangers of pushing on with over confidence.

You do not need to be a member or instrument rated to attend.
