Many aircraft owners and hobbyists would like to perform maintenance on their aircraft for the challenge and to save money. Mr. Steven VanAntwerp, FAA’s Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) to the Piper Aircraft Corporation will be speaking on what folks can do safely and legally on both certificated and Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). As an additional subject, he will review what should pilots check both pre and post flight to assure the aircraft is airworthy and fit for flight especially after that $100 hamburger.

Each meeting is held in classroom M within the Skyborne Aviation Academy Maintenance Hanger which is located west of the main terminal of Vero Beach Regional Airport Main Terminal Building. Enter through the west side of the building from the parking lot. Those flying in please park in front of CJ Cannons Restaurant, exit through Sun Aviation and walk 100 yards west to the building.
