Brief Description:
Join us for A VIRTUAL cup of coffee, a donut, and a LIVE WEBINAR! Un-stabilized approaches are a leading cause of landing accidents. When aircraft deviate from stable speed, configuration, or path, the risk of hard landings, runway excursions, controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) and loss of control rises sharply. Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) data confirms that instability is most common at challenging runways, but also shows that when RNAV or FMS guidance is used, these events are nearly eliminated. Consistent, guided approaches lower workload, improve predictability, and help prevent accidents before they occur. Aviation safety will be discussed, and is central to the content of this presentation.
