Title:
Long Distance Cross Country Flight Planning
Topic:
Tips on Planning a Multi-Day Cross Country Flight
Date and Time:
Tuesday, July 15, 2025, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Mike Jesch
Brief Description:

We will discuss methods to plan a long cross country flight that will take a couple days to accomplish. More than just planning several small flights, long distance flying requires taking much more information into consideration. Using a flight from Fullerton to Oshkosh, WI to attend EAA Airventure, we'll talk about some of these issues and how to prepare.

We'll also hear from a few other local pilots who are also planning to attend Airventure this year, and how they intend to contend with these issues.

Our speaker is FAPA Vice President and FUL-based CFI Mike Jesch. He has flown to Oshkosh a dozen times, as well as many other even longer trips.
