Title:
Pilots Using Their Flying Skills to Give Back to the Community
Topic:
Volunteer Pilots Making a Difference Through Flight!
Date and Time:
Wednesday, July 23, 2025, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Various
Brief Description:

Many private pilots take to the skies simply for the joy of it—exploring with friends and family, savoring the freedom of flight. But if you're looking to give your time in the air a deeper purpose, consider philanthropy flying—volunteering your skills to help others in need.

At San Carlos Flight Center, we believe general aviation can be a powerful force for good. That’s why we encourage and support “Philanthropy Flights”—flights in direct service of nonprofit organizations like Angel Flight West, Pilots N Paws, CalDART, EAA Young Eagles, and others. As part of that commitment, SCFC offers rental discounts to club members flying approved charitable missions.

Join us for an inspiring evening featuring a panel of pilots who have flown volunteer missions for these life-changing organizations. They’ll share personal stories, practical insights, and safety tips to help you understand how you can make a meaningful impact through aviation.
