Join the AOPA Air Safety Institute as they lead a guided discussion of events leading up to the crash of a Cessna 208 Caravan on short final into Burley, ID in 2022. This case study will look at the various risks of this flight and how they combined to culminate in the outcome of this accident. Understand how our choices affect a flight and how changes over time can compound leading to an accident.
Rob Geske, is the Manager of Aviation Safety Analysis at AOPA. He is responsible for the Richard G. McSpadden Report along with other general aviation safety reports, He leads industry initiatives helping to improve GA safety and provides insight and expertise during accident analysis. Additionally, he works with the FAA and other government and industry stakeholders on policy, regulations, and safety education. Prior to joining AOPA, he was a research fellow working on technically advanced aircraft, training, and safety research along with providing flight and ground training at large flight schools.
