Brief Description:
This is a safety meeting for the local pilots with the air traffic controllers for the Missoula (MSO) control tower. Due to the mountainous terrain with limited options for approaches to MSO. Aircraft conflicts are a safety issue. At this safety meeting the local controllers will review safer routes to and from the Bitter Root valley. This will include preferred distance to communicate with MSO tower, safer altitudes to avoid commercial traffic, both inbound and outbound traffic. A very important part of this safety meeting will be for the pilots to ask questions to the controllers.
