Brief Description:
In this presentation we’ll talk about Loss of Control Accidents and recommendations from the General Aviation Joint Safety Committee work group that studies loss of control. Then we’ll define and discuss stabilized approaches and go-arounds. Finally, we’ll give you some tips and tricks that will help you (or your student) fly stabilized approaches and go-arounds to avoid loss of control. These good practices apply whether you are flying under IFR or VFR flight rules. Let's all Fly Safe!

From CAE, head south on Airport Blvd. Take the right onto Air Commerce Dr. and then right onto SC-602. Turn left onto Ermine Rd. In 1.5 miles, turn left onto US-1 S/Augusta Rd. Follow US-1 S into Lexington. At the intersection of Rt 378, continue straight ahead onto Old Chapin Rd and then make a left turn into the Flight Deck parking lot in 500 ft. The Flight Deck Restaurant is in the center of the shopping complex. The entrance is easily found off the courtyard near Barnes Jewelers and Horizon Travel.

The presentation will be 6:30 to 7:30 pm in one of several meeting rooms. Discussion typically ends about 8 pm. An informative and entertaining time is the end goal of this WINGS presentation.
