Join a panel of some of the world's most experienced experts as we explore the fascinating and demanding world of aviation accident investigation. They will share some personal stories, triumphs, and tragedies that seasoned accident investigators experience from when they grab their go bags until the final report is released. They will then share valuable tips that pilots can immediately use to prevent the most common accidents. Finally, the panel will review several NTSB recommendations that have helped prevent repeat accidents and offer top tips based on their lifetime of experience to help you become a safer pilot.   • Panelist: Clint Johnson is the chief of the Alaska regional office of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) based in Anchorage, AK. Clint has worked with the NTSB for over 26 years. Before his appointment as the Alaska Regional Chief, Clint was a Senior Air Safety Investigator in the Alaska Regional Office for over 15 years. He has been the investigator-in-charge of more than 750 aviation accidents in Alaska, nationwide, and internationally, many times in remote and challenging locations.
  • Panelist: Seth is a Senior Manager and Air Safety Investigator (ASI) for Airbus Helicopters (formerly American Eurocopter). He has an extensive history of assisting the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and/or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in conducting over 200 on-site investigations of general aviation aircraft accidents, both in the rotor-wing and fixed-wing industries.
  • Moderator: Chris Hill is the Senior Director of Safety for Vertical Aviation International (VAI) (Formerly Helicopter Association International (HAI). Prior to joining VAI in 2018, Chris served as Aviation Safety Manager for the US Coast Guard Office of Safety, where he facilitated or directed numerous major mishap investigation activities. He also served 20 years on active duty as a helicopter pilot in the US Army and the US Coast Guard.
