Title:
Preparing for the Airplane Private Pilot Checkride and not Walking the White Line!
Topic:
A Review of the ACS and FARS for the Private Pilot Practical Exam as Well as a Discussion of Personal Minimums and Safety.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, April 19, 2023, starting at 19:00 Mountain Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Craig Davis, DPE and FAASafety team lead
Brief Description:

Are you preparing for a airplane private pilot checkride? Do you know what your personal minimums are? Come where you will meet a local DPE and review the ACS and common weak areas of the oral and flight portions as well as discuss a new pilot's approach to personal minimums and safety. Be prepared by bringing your FARS and a copy of the current ACS as well as some way to take notes. The goal of this seminar is not to prep you for exact questions and scenarios that will be reviewed on your checkride, but to help you become familiar with the ACS and its associated regulations and reference material as well as establish your own personal safety minimums. We will also cover how the completed checkride can be applied to the FAA Wings Program. The presentation is expected to last 1.5 hours and a Q and A will take place following the seminar. CFI's and Rotor students are also invited to attend, although we will not be addressing the PTS that applies to Rotor.
