This notice aims to help prevent wrong way takeoffs by identifying known contributing factors and by promoting pertinent operating procedures and training efforts. Please focus on the two Appendices entitled: Factors Contributing to Wrong Way Takeoffs and Runway Incursion Prevention: Best Practices. They will assist you in developing specific operating procedures and training to reduce the risk of runway incursions related to wrong way takeoffs.
