SECURITY EVENT FLIGHT ADVISORY

Super Bowl XLI  

 

As a result of the planned National Football League Super Bowl in Miami FL., on February 4, 2007, the FAA at the request of the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Defense, as part of the airspace security measures will be establishing a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in the vicinity of Dolphin Stadium.  The following restrictions will apply from 1600L to 2359L on February 4, 2007:

 

Inner ring restrictions : All aircraft flight operations are prohibited from the surface up to but not including FL180 within 10 Nautical Miles (NM) of 255728N/0801419W or the FLL214008.4 except as specified below

 

1.        Only authorized DoD, and Federal/State/Local Law Enforcement/Lifeguard or Medivac operations, squawking an assign discrete beacon code, are permitted within the inner ring as coordinated.

 

2.       Only authorized CFR Part 121 and CFR Part 129 regularly scheduled commercial passenger, private charter and all-cargo flights that MEET OR EXCEED the Transportation Security   Administration approved Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP), Domestic Security Inspection Program (DSIP), Twelve-Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP) all cargo, Private Charter Standard Security Program (PCSSP), All-Cargo International Security Procedure (ACISP), or Model Security Program (MSP) are authorized to land/depart within the inner ring.

 

3.       No General Aviation arrival, departure or transit flights will be authorized to operate within the inner ring of the TFR.

 

Outer ring restrictions : From the surface up to but not including FL180 between 10NM and 30NM of the airspace described above.  All aircraft entering or exiting the TFR must be on an active IFR or VFR flight plan.

 

1.       All aircraft must be assigned a discrete beacon code by an Air Traffic Control (ATC) facility and be squawking that code prior to departing within or entering the TFR.

 

2.       All aircraft entering or exiting the TFR must remain in two-way radio communication with ATC.

 

3.       Operations between 10NM and 30NM are limited to aircraft arriving or departing local airfields.  ATC may authorize transit operations.  Aircraft may not loiter.

 

Aircraft Entering/Operating within the ADIZ/FRZ Without Authorization may be Intercepted.

    

Special Flights or Operations not authorized ANYWHERE within this TFR

-Flight Training–Gliders–Hot Air Balloons-Animal Population Control-Utility line/pipe inspection flights-Banner Tow–Parachute–Ultralights-Practice Approaches–Aerobatic-Hang Gliding-Crop Dusting-Seaplanes
