ATTENTION PILOTS AND ALL OTHER CHICAGO O'HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIRFIELD USERS
On January 10, 2013 the following airfield changes at Chicago O'Hare International Airport are scheduled to occur:
- Taxiway ZC becomes AA
- Taxiway ZD becomes L1
- Taxiway ZE becomes BB
- Taxiway ZF becomes CC
These designator changes are the first step of an overall taxiway renaming implementation plan for O'Hare that will evolve over the next 18 months and beyond to encompass the full construction of the O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP). In order to accomplish these changes, a small group of taxiways will be re-designated every 56 days beginning January 10, 2013.
Taxiway change dates for 2013 will be:
- January 10
- March 7
- May 2
- August 22
- October 17
- December 12
Many more changes are coming to O'Hare:
- Runway 10-28 to be re-designated 10L-28R on May 2, 2013
- Runway 10C-28C to be commissioned - October 17, 2013
- Runway 10R-28L to be commissioned - October 15, 2015
