Numerous pilot deviations have occurred at the Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) due to the unusual location of the Runway 28R boundary markings and Runway 28R threshold sign on Taxiway “A” near the eastern edge of the run-up area. 
 
To fix this problem a construction project to realign Taxiway “A” has begun on Monday, August 9, 2010.  This project will close the east 1,400 feet of Runway 28R and temporarily relocate the Runway 28R threshold.  This project will also close Taxiway “A” east of Taxiway “B”.  The project will take approximately 90-120 days to complete.  Please check NOTAMS for the latest information.
