Following the Bend Municipal Airport Air Traffic Control Tower Grand Opening on October 29, several key milestones are anticipated in the coming months as the tower transitions to full operations. The activation of tower operations will mark a significant milestone for the airport, enhancing aviation safety, operational efficiency, and service for the aviation community.

- November 1, 2026: Air Traffic Manager and Air Traffic Controller Specialist positions established and onboarded for tower familiarization activities.
- November 16, 2026: "Soft" Air Traffic Advisory Services are anticipated to begin.
- December 22, 2026: Class D airspace rules submitted to the FAA.
- February 3, 2027: New airspace charts published, including local and ground frequencies.
- February 17, 2027: Official Air Traffic Control Tower services are anticipated to commence.
