PRESENTER
Bruce Williams is a flight instructor based in Seattle. A general aviation pilot since the mid-1970s, he is now a check instructor at Galvin Flying at Boeing Field, conducting Part 61 and Part 141 stage checks for private, instrument, commercial, and flight instructor candidates.
As a BPPP instructor, Bruce also trains Beechcraft Bonanza pilots. He especially enjoys working with IFR pilots who fly with today’s advanced avionics, like those in his updated 1989 A36. In the summer Bruce provides stall-spin-upset and aerobatic training in an Extra 300L aerobatic airplane.
During a 15-year career at Microsoft, Bruce worked on six versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. He’s the author of two books about using PC-based flight simulation to complement flight training.
