Title:
May Topic of the Month - The 300 Dollar Annual PLUS MYR Tower Tour
Topic:
What to Expect on Your Annual Inspection and Tower Tour!
Date and Time:
Saturday, May 20, 2023, starting at 10:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Gary Burleson - FAAST Team Representative
Brief Description:

Inadequate maintenance and inspections are common accident causal factors.  Aircraft owners seeking bargain-priced mechanical services may see un-airworthy aircraft returned to service following cursory inspections.

  • Periodic aircraft inspections are necessary in order to detect and correct discrepancies that cannot be discovered in the course of normal preflight inspections
  • Owners of light single-engine airplanes should expect an annual inspection charge to include fifteen to thirty hours of labor.  Airworthiness Directive compliance, oil changes, repairs, parts, and supplies will be additional charges

We'll also have a representative from the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Department educating us of their capabilities in case of an aircraft accident at KMYR.

We will leave the MYR FBO at 1:15 p.m. for the MYR ATC Tower tour.

Prior to attending this safety seminar, please review and abide by current CDC, State and Local health guidelines.
