Title:
Personal Minimums for Pilots
Topic:
Personal Minimums for General Aviation as our Personal Operations Specifications (OpSpecs)
Speaker(s):
Michael J McIntyre, CFI, DPE
Brief Description:
A stark contrast has always existed between Commercial versus Non-Commercial flight operations as reflected by very divergent accident rates and trending between the two. We'll highlight some of those causal factors and focus on two lethal events for GA pilots: VMC into IMC and Maneuvering Flight. If imitation is the highest form of flattery, this seminar will discuss how GA pilots can adopt a similar approach to risk management as our Commercial counterparts do via development of Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) and translate that into our own set of Personal Minimums.
