Topic of the Month
Topic:
Pre-flight and In-flight Weather Resources from the Web, to the Ramp, and in the Sky
Date and Time:
Wednesday, August 26, 2026, starting at 18:00 Eastern Daylight Time (15:00 PDT; 16:00 MDT; 17:00 CDT; 12:00 HST; 14:00 AKDT; 15:00 Arizona; 22:00 GMT)
Brief Description:
We have an unprecedented wealth of weather information in general aviation cockpits, providing near real time graphical and textual information, which contributes to pilot situational awareness and decision making. This level of information creates a level of complexity that we need to understand.
What are some of our choices when it comes to weather information?
What are the capabilities and limitations of our equipment and the information it provides?
How comfortable and competent do you feel when making critical flight decisions based on assessments of the information provided?
We'll seek to answer these questions, and more, as we explore the weather resources available to aviators. Join us for an hour of fun as we look at the latest in weather products and resources to help you decide on a course of action, whether you're going out VFR or launching into the clouds in IMC.
