Title:
Return to Service Approval and Teaching Emergencies
Topic:
'Return to Service Approval' and “CFI Forum - Teaching Emergencies”
Date and Time:
Tuesday, June 24, 2025, starting at 18:30 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Paul Golick, Professional CFI
Brief Description:

Continued aircraft airworthiness requires properly documented maintenance. Are you able to answer these questions: "When was this airplane last returned to service? What work was done at that time? Is anything deferred?" We will discuss how to identify such information in maintenance records.

Every POH has a section titled "Emergency Procedures" that describes suggested actions to take for listed situations. Appropriately responding when such situations occur requires awareness of current situations. We will discuss examples when the pilot had to adapt to respond successfully to an emergency. We will also describe systemic approaches to responding to emergencies.
