I have been around aviation for the past 40 years, with a knowledge base of flying, restoring and maintaining aircraft. In the aviation community I believe I am well known and respected.I believe the general consensus is that the safety and improvement of aviation has always been a focal point. I have owned and operated over 15 aircraft to date.I was instrumental in guiding my son to earn both an airplane a helicopter rating. I am now instructing him in order to obtain his instrument and commercial in both categories. Currently, I own and operate a PA-32R - Piper Lance and a Robinson R44 helicopter. Previously I achieved a two time "Reserve Grand Champion" and "Grand Champion" award recipient in warbird restoration from both Oshkosh and Sun'n Fun. I have also received the "Golden Wrench" recognition in both arenas for outstanding restoration effort and documentation of originality. I have much experience in assisting on the maintenance of numerous aircraft varying from 172's to King Airs, Schweizer 369 to MD500's as well as the skills to instruct in them. Knowledgeable in both reciprocating and turbine operations. For multiple years I ran an aviation maintenance and repair facility at downtown Parks airport. As an owner of a Yellow Page Phone Book company, one of my jobs was the initial and continual training of sales, production and management by primarily presenting the newest and updated information. I accomplished this by both on-line computer based programs and power point presentations, as well as in person, formal training programs. My key strengths would be organization, marketing, and classroom development of a team. Recently, I have expanded my expertise in the field of aviation instruction by acquiring both my CF-II Airplane and CF II Rotorcraft - Helicopter. I enjoy instructing the fundamentals of flight as well as teaching the practical and safety side of aviation as well. |
