Come on out on a Saturday morning and take a few minutes to become much more familiar with the various types of Special Use Airspace.  You'll come away with a good understanding of MOA's, Alert Areas, Prohibited Areas, Restricted Areas, ADIZ's, NSA's, and Temporary Flight Restricted Airspace.  We'll also cover Notices To Airmen (NOTAM's).

What you don't know CAN hurt you !!  (or cost you your license)

FAA Safety Team Lead Representative Mike Proctor, a local CFI will take us through an AOPA Air Safety Foundation interactive program that will cover each of the various types of SUA and give you a much better comfort level about operating in or near SUA.

Thanks go to the EKU Aviation Department and the EKU Business and Technology Center for providing the facilities and to AIR51,  the new FBO at the Richmond/Madison Airport for providing refreshments.  Special thanks to the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association's Air Safety Foundation for their well produced interactive safety programs.

The sponsor of this seminar is the FAA Safety Team (FAAST) of Kentucky/Tennessee.

This Program will qualify for a KEB (Knowledge Elective Basic) Credit for the WINGS (Pilot Proficiency) Program.  Visit www.faasafety.gov for details.
