PLEASE READ: If you are registered for the clinic you now have the chance to schedule an early session for ground training and flight evaluations. To schedule e-mail me at carl.s.keesey@faa.gov and request the 0730 or 0800 start time. Give me your name, aircraft type and time you choose. You do not need to schedule to fly, this is just to offer an opportunity for early scheduling. GA makes up 97% of all fatal aircraft accidents. The largest percentage of accidents occur during the landing phase of flight. The Safety Team has partnered with industry to establish clinics so pilots can receive at no cost an evaluation of their landing skills. Most pilots seldom think they need help with landing techniques, however the large number of fatal accidents in this phase of flight tells us otherwise. CFI's and DPE's have teamed up for these fun filled, educational and skill building clinics. The gates will open at 700am and we will be providing donuts and coffee for the early birds.  At 800am there will be scheduled 50 minute ground sessions discussing stabilized approaches. At 900am the flight sessions will begin. While the pilot clinics are being conducted there will be activities for the non-pilot also. We will be introducing principals of scanning techniques, basic preflight procedures and emergency assistance in the aircraft. This will teach the passengers to become a vital part of the crew and help to reduce the pilots work load so they can focus on maintaining control of the aircraft. These sessions will take place in the air conditioned comfort of  FSA and Southern Wings Aircraft Sales offices. Also there will be an Aviation Career Education Program for kids of all ages. This program is designed to introduce youth to careers in aviation. So bring the whole family, your scouting group, grandchildren or a neighbor and lets share the joys of aviation. This clinic is being sponsored by FSA, ATLANTIC Aviation Services whom is offering fuel discounts for the aircraft registered to fly during the clinic, Southern Wings Aircraft Sales, Oklahoma Pilots Association, Oklahoma State University, The University of Oklahoma, the CAP, The Oklahoma Museum Of Flying, Tulsa Community College, Western Oklahoma State College, Precision Flight, Tulsa Riverside Flight Center, Lawton Fort Sill ATC, OKC Approach Control, FAA International ATC Training Center, AirOne Flight Academy, Oklahoma Aviation, CFI Flight School, Wiley Post ATC, EAA Chapters 24 and 1098, Western Oklahoma Aviation, OKC Police Air Support Unit, Rourke Aviation, Oklahoma Chapter of the 99's, OKC-FSDO, OKC-MIDO, The Prop Shop, Capital Aviation,  FunAir LLC, Powermaster Aircraft Engines, Barrett Precision Engines, AVIALL, Aircraft Specialties Services,  Americas Aircraft Engines, Quality Aircraft Accessories, Nolan Avionics, Aircraft Door Seals, AOPA, Custom Propeller,  Mikes Models, The Realm of Hobbies, Oklahoma Radio Control Hobbies, Westside RC Flyers and the Oklahoma Aviator.
