Brief Description:

This meeting is intended to help the new aviators entering the aviation field with unmanned aircraft, our existing manned certified pilots interested in a 107 RPIC rating and already certified remote pilots as a forum for question and answers.

Teena Deering is a retired U.S. Navy pilot with 24 years of honorable service for our Country before she entered private industry.

Teena was instrumental in setting up SDG&E's UAS program as a DVBE/WOE/MBE, TeeDeeUAS, LLC. Teena is currently developing a UAS program for Hawaiian Electric, is a founding member and serves as our 2017 local FAAST sUAS Chair.

Jeff Riolo is also a founding member and serves as the SAN FAAST sUAS lead representative as well as executive director of Empower UAV / UAS, Inc. a regional service provider for sUAS operations. Jeff also teaches business law at Mesa College.

Speakers and Leaders of this San Diego FAASTeam Task Group offer their time and energy and serve as an all volunteer resource in support of the FAA Safety efforts and all users of the Aviation Community.
