Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):
A recent accident shows what may happen when pilots fail to fly the aircraft first.  Far too many accidents occur when pilots (even professionals) fail to maintain “Aviate” as the #1 priority.  In this FAASTeam “Topic of the Month” we will review accidents where a failure to prioritize “Aviate” as the primary task was a causal factor.  In addition we will discuss how to ensure you maintain a priority on flying the airplane when the chips are down.  We will also provide an update on the general regulations around LAHSO and the specifics expected to be implemented in Santa Rosa.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
Fly the Aircraft First: a review of techniques to ensure you maintain your priorities while aviating.
Refresher on Land And Hold Short Operations (LAHSO), and plans for operations at KSTS beginning around March 1st.

Refreshments will be provided!

Many thanks to our sponsors: The Pacific Coast Air Museum for sponsoring our SCOE meeting location, RAM Aviation for our refreshments and local FAASTeam members Jim & Art for leading the evening’s presentation.
