DA: It's Just a Bunch of Hot Air!!!
Speaker(s):
Mike Montefusco
Brief Description:
It's summer in Texas and the one thing most agree on is that it is definitely HOT here. Besides being annoyingly uncomfortable in an un-air conditioned airplane, the heat robs us of precious performance needed to get into the air in the first place. Understanding Density Altitude (DA) is key to operating effectively with reduced aircraft performance.

Density Altitude down here in the "flatlands" is usually not much of a problem for most of us. But could it be? We'll look at not only some DA considerations, but also some OTHER factors that can make a crucial difference in our operational capabilities. How does DA play in the "risk management" game?
