Additional Event Information & Acknowledgement of Industry Sponsor(s):
Michel Kussatz's position with Garmin Avionics keeps him extremely well versed with the latest technology in the rapidly developing world of avionics. He will review GPS technology and explain ADS-B mandated requirements for aircraft owners including the benefits and limitations of the technology. ADS-B is nearing full deployment with many benefits in increased efficiency in the National Airspace System already realized - especially in remote areas of the country. This technology also adds to situational awareness with weather and traffic data link, but its limitations need to be understood to maximize safety.

Michael will explain options available with existing equipment already installed on many aircraft and provide information on possible alternatives. He will be glad to answer your questions so everyone has a better understanding of the benefits with the new technology.
