This safety event training is designed to concentrate on “Aircraft Check Lists” affecting aircraft safety.  The program will identify areas prone to improper check list / pre-flight practices that may lead to incidents.  Arizona FAASTeam members, DPE and flight instructors will discuss and demo on the ground, the specific areas which have historically been problems for checklist usage.  All pilots, tenants, and students that operate at Lake Havasu City Airport are also welcome and encouraged to attend.   We'll also focus on aspects of surface safety and will be tailored to the KHII operating environment.

Pilot airspace deviations continue to be a major risk in the national airspace system.  To reduce the chance that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course on www.faasafety.gov.  Or search the learning library for associated guidance on airspace incursions.  Remember, safe and prudent airmen have superior situational awareness and have a plan to keep it that way.

Thanks!  A message from your local FAASTeam.
