HELI-EXPO 2012, the world's largest helicopter trade show will take place from Feb. 12-14, 2012 in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Convention Center.  More than 18,000 helicopter industry professionals attend the show from more than 100 countries.  Attendees will explore an exhibit hall within the center's one million square feet of exhibit and meeting space containing more than 65 helicopters and more than 600 exhibitors displaying everything anyone in the Helicopter World would need for success.

HELI-EXPO 2012 promises to be another great year featuring these free seminars and workshops (Click on the title of each event for additional information and online registration).

HAI Safety Symposium; presented by Dr. Mark Rosekind, NTSB Board Member & members of HAI's Safety Committee. At this exclusive symposium, a panel of experts from the NTSB and HAI's Safety Committee will discuss the many challenges of dealing with and managing fatigue in helicopter operations.

U.S. Helicopter Infrastructure Workshop; Led by Tom Judge with the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST) Implementation Team, the IHST / Joint Helicopter Safety Implementation (JHSIT) Infrastructure Work Group will host a workshop examining the current state of helicopter infrastructure; helipads, weather systems, and the low level IFR system. The workshop will include an analysis of the current infrastructure, emerging issues, opportunities for safety improvement and current barriers to safety improvement.

SMS & Decision Making Workshop; Led by Fred Brisbois, and Dave Huntzinger of the IHST. This free workshop will be divided into two sessions that will cover the relationship between Safety Management Systems, just culture and pilot decision making. The workshop is designed for managers, pilots and safety officers.

Embry-Riddle's Report to Support IHST’s Accident Reduction Goals; This free one-hour presentation will summarize the research completed by Embry Riddle Aeronautical University to identify the best training strategies and products to support the recommendations of the IHST’s goal to reduce the worldwide helicopter accident rate by 80%.  The session will encompass system safety, aviator learning and teaching modalities for development of effective training strategies and educational products.

Safety Intervention Strategy Workshop; This session will summarize the International Helicopter Safety Team’s analysis of U.S. accidents and present the top twenty recommended intervention strategies to reduce the helicopter accident rate.

Inspection Authorization Renewal: Manufacturers' Technical Briefings; Thirty-one, one hour technical briefings will be offered on rotorcraft by manufacturers including AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, Enstrom, Eurocopter, Honeywell, Kaman, Lycoming Piston Engines, MD Helicopters, Pratt & Whitney, Robinson Helicopters, Schweizer, Scott's Bell 47, Sikorsky, and Turbomeca. To use the Briefings for IA Renewal, you must attend a minimum of eight, one-hour briefings.

Safety Town Hall Committee Meeting; Exclusive opportunity to provide feedback to the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Safety Committee in areas of rotorcraft operations, maintenance, training, policies and procedures.  Meet with members of the Safety Committee and express your concerns for areas of safety improvement in our industry.

CFI Mentoring Programs; Free information packed Certified Flight Instructor Mentoring session sponsored by the Helicopter Association International HAI) Flight Training Committee. The briefing is organized in three sections; How to Teach Maneuvers, Leadership/Professionalism, and Instructional Intervention.

Pilot Mentoring Program; This hour-long session is designed to be a peer exchange forum for helicopter pilots. We invite all helicopter pilots to come together to share their experiences and expertise with other professional pilots and students attending or just completing flight school. If  you're looking to share and learn valuable information from other professionals in the industry, this event is for you!

Maintenance Technician's Safety Mentoring Program; Exclusive Question and Answer Forum led by a panel of top maintenance industry experts! Students and veteran maintenance professionals alike will benefit from the exchange of knowledge, best practices and safety experience at this session.

Tour Operators' Program of Safety (TOPS); Attend this interesting and exciting forum specifically intended for commercial helicopter Air Tour Operators.
