Brief Description:

The annual Greater St. Louis Area Maintenance Safety Counselors Maintenance Safety Symposium. Attendance in the core sessions will be credited toward renewal of a mechanic's Inspection Authorization.  There will be a large number of aviation suppliers of equipment and services exhibiting their products at the event.

This is the annual St. Louis area Maintenance Safety Counselors Maintenance Symposium.  It is a two-day event scheduled for February 11th  & 12th, 2005.  Registration will begin at 6:30 AM on Friday, Feb 11 only.  This years keynote speaker is Bill O'Brien from FAA Headquarters, Washington DC.  Mr O'Brien is returning after 5 years since his last visit to enlighten us about policy and points of view from Headquarters, FAA.  He will be giving two 1 1/2 hour sessions on Friday morning only.  Seating is limited to 150 at each session and will be on a first come first seated basis.  Program sessions are from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM on Friday and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday.  Sessions will be 1 hour duration (except for Mr. O'Brien's).  Attendance in the core sessions will be credited toward renewal of a mechanic's Inspection Aughorization.  Major funding for the event is provided by many St. Louis area aviation service organizations and participating event vendors.  There will be many aviation suppliers of equipment and services exhibiting their products at the event.

Who should attend?

Aircraft mechanics, pilots, amateur aircraft builders, and anyone interested in aviation.

The St. Louis Area Maintenance Safety Counselors are sponsors of scholarships for Aviation Maintenance Technician students who are attending Aviation Maintenance Technical schools located inte ht St. Louis FAA District.  The counselors will be accepting donations to the schollarship.
