Aircraft Airworthiness presented by Bill Abbott of the FAA Rochester, NY Flight Standards District Office.

The Federal Aviation Regulations require that an aircraft is "Airworthy" before a pilot can legally fly it! But do you know the definition of the term airworthy? How can a pilot be assured the aircraft meets this requirement? What inspections are required? How can you determine that they have been accomplished? What about ADs, STCs, TCs, 337 Forms? Attend this informative meeting and find out!

Determining Airworthiness is a very important responsibility for all pilots. However, many don't know what the requirements are; further still don't know what to look for in making these determinations. At this interesting and informative safety briefing, featured speaker Bill Abbott, a FAA Inspector will demystify the process for determining aircraft airworthiness.

He'll discuss the definition of airworthy, required inspections, pilot operator responsibilities, the airworthiness certificate, inoperative equipment, Supplemental Type Certificates STCs), Major Alterations and 337 Forms, documentation, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Preventative Maintenance, Special Flight Permits, Records and much, much more.

Good Pilot Habits presented by Jim Ambrose, FAA Safety Team Representative.

Safe pilots share a number of flying "habits". How a person "thinks" about their responsibilities as a pilot is essential to safe and enjoyable flying. This interactive Workshop will highlight the knowledge, attitude and skills necessary to be a consistently safe and confident pilot. The attendee will learn from the ideas of others, and the presentation will help form new or improved habits for safe flying. Don't miss it!
